We’re excited to announce that we are moving forward into retail store, a community lead space where everyone can enjoy food with dignity.
What’s community lead retail store?
It‘s operate by community volunteers and fund by our Gleaning Community Club Members, each member pays $59 per annual fee, receive 4 complimentary half boxes through the year, means by end of year that we paid you $1 to join the club. There’s exclusive deals for members only, like this week we have jumbo green kiwi fruits for all members, come visit our Silverdale shop this Friday to pick up your box of 10 kg happiness.
What’s different between other social supermarkets?
Our community lead retail store is open to everyone, no refer needed. Each paid membership has also contribute one membership for community, #leftnoonebehind
We believe there’s no food is free. Most food offer in the store, are either paid to rescue or generous shared by our gleaning partners. However we welcome donations from growers and corporates.
How it works?
We have offer two size of mystery boxes, $15 half box and $26 full box
You‘re welcome to choose what you need by following the guideline limits on each item
There’re food are abundance, take much you need or $20 full crate/box
We also have gourmet products shared by our Gleaning Business Partners with generous price
Where you can find our stores?
This week our Silverdale warehouse store opens, unit 53, 36 Peters Way, Silverdale
every Thursday and Friday, from 3.30 to 5.30pm.
We’re looking for places in Mt Albert; Mt Eden; Westgate; Glen Eden; Mt Wellington for our coming up stores in next few months.
